Essay

Is St. Augustines real estate issue effecting downtown tourisim?

There seems to be a lot of for rent or for sale signs in St. Augustine. It might have to do with the recession, or the fact that these places cost more than they are worth. Many homeowners are upset that so many places are for rent around them, but are hopefull for the future.

Jason Hewitt, 23, from Montauk, NY says that if he was planning on buying a home after graduation he "would not look in St. Augustine", but "as a college student, all of the rentals open up alot of options downtown, so close to school."
